In the lively heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Zaaffran gives you a meal with great Indian food and a lovely view of the water. I began with tandoori prawns, grilled and with spices that left a warm taste.

The prawns were soft and juicy, a good way to start. For the main meal, I had the lamb shank rogan josh. The lamb was very soft and the sauce was rich and had lots of spices.

3. Surjit’s Indian Restaurant, Annandale

Surjit has a place to eat in Annandale, Sydney. People love his Indian food. The place looks nice with warm colors and soft light. When you go in, you can smell the spices cooking.

The menu has a lot of food, so it’s hard to choose. I got the samosas. They were crunch on the outside and had tasty mix of potatoes and peas inside. The mint chutney was good too. One thing I like about Surjit’s is the good service. The staff are nice and always ready to help.

4. Malabar South Indian Restaurant, Sydney 

At Malabar, you can taste many flavors from South India. I began with their special Malabar dosa, a crispy crepe filled with spiced potatoes. The sambar and coconut chutney made it even better.

For my main meal, I tried Chettinad chicken, known for bold flavors and spices. It was tasty and cooked well. I also tried the prawn mango curry, a mix of sweet and spicy.

The food at Malabar is not just tasty, but also looks good. They use fresh ingredients and the flavors are authentic. Additionally, the presentation in emaculant.

5. Abhi’s Indian Restaurant 

This famous Indian restaurant in Australia is in North Strathfield, Sydney. It’s famous for the most authentic India food.

They have lots of food to pick from. I had the tandoori chicken. It was so good. It was soft and had the right aroma of smoke which makes you want to eat more. I also had a mint sauce with it. It was sharp and mixed well.

For the main course, I had a lamb dish called rogan josh. It was good. The lamb was soft and the sauce had a nice smell and taste. I ate it with basmati rice and garlic naan.

The folks who work there are great! They look out for you and are nice, and even help you pick what to eat. We also had a mango kulfi to end our meal. It’s a kind of delicate and flavorful ice cream from India, something I have never tasted before!
